End of Life Notice

PREPS II License Expires 01/01/2010

The license for the PREPS II expires on January 1, 2010, and cannot be renewed.

In the mid-1990's, Ohio Electronic Engravers sold a product called OhioPREPS-II, which provided a way to RIP PostScript files for use with CCS. There were several versions of this product, but all required a license to operate.

This license expires on 01/01/2010 and you will no longer be able to use the OhioPREPS-II to RIP files for CCS. Your alternatives are to use TIFF instead of PostScript, or to upgrade to Collage.

Note that this EOL notice does not apply to the PREPS PPD (used in design applications to create PostScript for CCS and Collage). This PPD can still be used. Currently we recommend using the Acrobat Distiller PPD.
