Do you have a unique engraving application?
Ohio Gravure Technologies Inc. is prepared to help you with your project. We offer our engineering services, expertise in sub-micron positioning, vast engraving experience, and in-house engraving equipment for special projects.
Your application may be engraved on one of our in-house engravers, or you may need the high-resolution accuracy of the MicroStar engraver. In either case, we work with you to prepare the image to suit your requirements.
Gravure provides many advantages for special applications:
- High ink transfer volumes
- Extremely fine resolutions
- Ability to print on a variety of substrates
- High print speed
- Long print runs
The MicroStar can engrave cells to widths of less than 5µm, with depth control of less than 200 nm, up to 12,000 features per second. A wide variety of cell shapes can be engraved with the MicroStar, including cell shapes that optimize the transfer of ink to the substrate.
Our other GS engravers are well-suited to applications such as precision coatings (solar cells, medical test strips), security work, organic light-emitting displays, and more. The GS engraves coarser resolutions with depths up to 130 µm.
